The Manuel de Falla Orchestra has been a significant musical presence at the International Music Festival of Jimena de la Frontera since its very beginning in 2001.
Created in 1996 as an initiative of the Province of Cádiz, its main objectives are to offer concerts in places without access to classical music, the recovery of the musical heritage of the province, musical education and support for young musicians.
The orchestra has recorded several discs, including the music of the Zarzuela (Spanish Operetta) and ‘100 Years of Cadiz Carnival’, in which they re-interpret Carnival music from the provincial capital.
